How does the live wedding painting process work?
Live wedding painting is a unique, immersive art experience where I paint a scene from your wedding in real-time. Prior to your wedding day, we’ll have a consultation call during which we’ll discuss the all the details and vision for your painting. On the day, I’ll set up my easel and painting supplies at a chosen spot at your venue. As the celebration unfolds, I transform the moment into a hand-painted work of art. After the day, I’ll finish and refine the painting in my studio before delivering the final piece to you.
How long does the painting take to finish?
After the 6-8 hour Live Painting session during your wedding day, I bring the painting back to my studio in Galway for touch-ups. I will spend between 12-30 hours in my studio refining all the details. Once the painting is finished, I apply a layer of varnish to seal and protect the piece for many years to come. On average, this process takes 2-3 months to complete before I will ship the final painting out to you.
How far in advance should we book our Live Wedding Painting?
I recommend booking at least 6 to 12 months in advance to ensure availability, especially during peak wedding seasons. This allows ample time to discuss your vision, choose the perfect moment for the painting, and secure a spot on your wedding day. The latest to book is 1 month prior to your wedding date if available.
Where are you located and do you travel for destination weddings?
I am based in Galway and always open to travelling for destination weddings! Whether your wedding is in Ireland or a destination wedding abroad, I’m happy to accommodate. Please note that travel expenses will be added to the cost of your live painting package for locations over 100 km from my studio in Galway. All details will be discussed and confirmed with you before we finalise your booking.
What is required to secure our wedding date?
I require a €400 deposit and signed agreement form to secure your date. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before your wedding.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, I can work with you to make a 3-6 month payment plan for any Live Wedding Painting package.
Do we need to provide any supplies?
No, I bring all the necessary supplies. The only thing I need is an ideal spot at your venue where I can set up my easel without disrupting the flow of your celebration.
