All of Gestures by Love’s paintings are made using the finest quality pigments in Oil Paint.

Oil paintings have a sense of luxury, depth, and glow unmatched in any other painting medium. For artists, the process of painting with oils embodies the most sumptuous and natural form of painting with the medium’s rich, lavish, and creamy qualities. It is truly a delight for the senses to both use and observe.

Oil paint has been used for centuries by artists. With this long history and tradition, you know your painting will be a family heirloom for many years to come!

What scene should I have painted?

There are so many moments from your wedding that can make a lovely painting! In general, intimate up-close portraits work best for smaller paintings. More expansive scenes (ie. venue backdrop) work best for larger paintings.

Popular scene ideas include: First Dance, First Kiss, Couple (or wedding party) with Venue Backdrop, Entering the Reception Party, Walking Down the Aisle, Cutting the Cake… and many more!

Would you paint an old photo of my parent’s or grandparent’s wedding for their anniversary?

Absolutely! This is such a special gift idea for loved ones celebrating an anniversary milestone, especially with all the love and care that goes into making a handmade painting. You are guaranteed to surprise and delight with this unique anniversary gift!

How much does it cost?

Wedding Paintings start at €350 and increase depending on size and number of people. Wedding Bouquet Paintings start at €200.

I ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit before beginning the painting process to secure your spot on my commissions list. For more info, please visit the Pricing page.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! I can work with you to make a 3-6 month payment plan for any size painting package. With a payment plan, I will ask you to make monthly installments each month over the 3-6 month period. Once the painting is paid in full, I will ship it out to you.

Do you offer Gift Vouchers?

Yes! Give the gift of a painting to the wedding couple with a Gift Voucher! Wedding Painting Gift Vouchers can be redeemed against any Painting Package and allows the newlyweds full rein to choose the scene they would like painted, without you having to make the choice for them!

Gift Vouchers are beautifully presented and wrapped in luxury packaging. Choice of a digital gift voucher is also available. Contact to purchase.

How long does the painting take to finish?

On average, paintings take 1-2 months to complete and dry before they are shipped to you. Timelines may vary depending on size of the painting. Please let me know upon booking if you require your painting by a certain date and I will do my best to accommodate!

What is required to order a commission?

I require a professional (or high quality) clear photo to use as a reference for painting.

Have a photo, but not sure if the quality is suitable for a painting? I will have you send it over to me and look to ensure the details are clear enough.

Do you do live wedding painting?

While I primarily specialise in creating bespoke commissioned paintings in my studio, I am always open to new opportunities and would be thrilled discuss the possibility of live painting if it’s something you are interested in. Live painting can add a unique and special element to your big day! If you’d like to discuss this further, please feel free to reach out to me via email.

What materials do you use?

I use high quality, archival and professional grade artist materials. My surfaces include ultra-smooth panels and primed canvas. All commissioned paintings are completed in oil paint, I use a variety of superior paint brands depending on my preferred pigment, these include Williamsburg, Michael Harding, and Old Holland paint.

Where do you ship and how much does shipping cost?

I can ship paintings Worldwide from my studio in Ireland!

Shipping costs vary depending on destination and size of the painting. When you fill out the contact form, let me know where you are based and I will provide a shipping quote for you.

What is your return/refund policy?

All painting sales are final. Once I have started painting a commission, it cannot be cancelled or refunded. I love what I do and want you to fall in love with your painting too! Choosing to commission a piece means you enjoy my personal style of painting. You can trust that I paint every commission to the highest standard and will communicate with you throughout the process to ensure your vision comes to life!

Do you retain copyright?

As the artist, I retain the copyright and the right to show the painting in my portfolio. Paintings may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without my prior consent.
